~ Joe Horan, County Manager, South Dublin County Council
It is accepted that coaching can achieve changes in performance and behaviour more rapidly than other development interventions because it meets individual needs. Coaching can help executives improve their abilities in a variety of areas including strategy formulation, leadership style, organisational change, relationship management and priority determination. The coach works one-on-one with the individual to help identify the nature of the change required, assists with the integration of new behaviours and provides ongoing support as the executive tries out new approaches.
The coaching relationship is personal and confidential, providing an ideal platform for individuals to try out new strategies and behaviours in a safe environment. It is a time efficient, cost effective development intervention.
Having worked at the highest level within a major organisation I am fully familiar with the demands and priorities of senior managers. I am able to overarch this extensive experience with my skills as an executive coach and this unique combination allows me to engage with my clients in a highly practical way.
